But despite missing out on the crown, controversial finalist Katie Waissel is determined to make the most of her X Factor fame, and is keeping herself busy with gigs and public appearances.
The 24-year-old led a Christmas carol sing-a-long session in store at the Manchester Selfridges last night.
The former receptionist needed a little prompting with the age-old songs though, holding a lyrics card in front of her as she performed Christmas classics including White Christmas and Jingle Bells.
Katie wore a camel coat and fedora hat over high-waisted tan trousers and a white vest.
Don't forget the lyrics! The X Factor contestant held a card with the words to the songsHe open toed heels also showed off the tattoo on her foot as she led the crowd in a sing-song.
Katie battled a sore throat to perform in front of the crowds at the department store.
A little help: Katie sang all the Christmas classics with the crowd, including Jingle Bells and White ChristmasShe wrote on her Twitter page earlier in the day: 'Regardless of tonsils bigger than Jupiter I am STILL coming to Manchester I wouldn't miss it for the world!! Can't wait to see you.'
The gig appeared to go off without a hitch, and with no critical judges or scathing X Factor audiences, the singer left Manchester on a high.
She tweeted afterward: 'Everybody who came tonight to Selfridges Manchester you are incredible! Had such a giggle singing Xmas songs I feel so festive now.'
