Halle Berry's daughter Nahla is growing up so fast.

It seems like only yesterday that she was born but Nahlal turns three in March and she is already shooting up in height.

And it is not surprising that, with a beauty queen turned A-list actress mother and a supermodel father, the beautiful little girl is shaping up to be a total heart breaker.

Nahla looked absolutely adorable yesterday as she went Christmas shopping with her mum at the Century City mall in Los Angeles.


Oooh... I want that one! Nahla falls in love with a large yellow teddy bear which her mother later arranged to be delivered to the house


She was dressed up just like her 44-year-old mother, in a pair of black jeans tucked into boots, chunky cardigan and a colourful scarf around her neck.

Halle looked gorgeous as ever, dressed in a long maroon wool cardigan coat with a black sash around the waist, and black jeans tucked into a pair of biker style boots.


That'll take a lot of wrapping paper: Halle returned to the store later to arrange delivery of the giant teddy bear


Nahla was clearly on the lookout for things to add to her Christmas list for Santa.
She spotted a huge yellow teddy bear, that was probably at least twice the size of her, which she immediately fell in love with.

Nahla's face filled with wonder and she could hardly bare to tear herself away from her new found fluffy friend.

Halle managed to steer her daughter away from the bear though and then returned to the store later on her own to order the toy and arrange delivery to her home.

Halle is obviously a loving to mother to her daughter, whose father is 34-year-old Canadian model Gabriel Aubr

Halle and Gabiel announced their break-up last April, after five years of dating, but have worked hard to maintain a friendship for the sake of their daughter.

Gabriel actually accompanied Halle to South Africa over the summer to look after Nahla whilst Halle worked on her new movie, Dark Tide.


'I share the childcare with Gabriel – we have a really good situation,' Halle says, who is now dating her 44-year-old co-star Olivier Martinez.

'That works out nicely. And we also have help when we need it, because we both work.

I’m madly in love with my daughter, and I’m happy that I waited till I was a little older because I really can enjoy every aspect of being a mother.’



Working mum: Halle has vowed to give her daughter a happier childhood than her own, where she grew up in a dysfunctional home with a physically abusive father


Halle seemed to anticipate the break-up in an interview for YOU in the summer of 2009, when she said: ‘Gabriel and I don’t look at our relationship in terms of for ever… Neither one of us feels the need to attach ourselves to each other for life.’

And she told U.S. Vogue in its August issue this year: ‘You realise you are not meant to go the distance with everybody, though Gabriel and I were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world.
